At Colorworks, one of our goals is to save our customers time and money. So in the spirit of that goal, we’ve put together a quick ‘how to guide’ to get you through your client and employee gift buying this holiday season. We are going to address the two main questions that everyone asks when starting the gift buying process: How Much Should I Spend & What’s a Good Gift?
How Much Should I Spend?
Deciding how much you should spend can be a simple and formulaic process. Follow these 3 easy steps:
- Decide a dollar amount for your total client/employee gift budget
- Make a list of every employee, client or company that you plan on buying a gift for
- Divide #1 by #2 and you have an average gift budget per person
Before pulling the trigger, also consider the policies of your clients with regards to gifts. Some companies don’t allow their employees to receive gifts larger than $25. So be sure to do some research before you spend more.
What’s a Good Gift?
A good gift should be at least 1 of 3 things: Memorable, Practical, or Thoughtful. In addition to that, it should definitely be branded AND something someone will actually use. So here is a list of our favorite branded gifts for 2016 that will make quite the impression.
